Trying to capture events, places or people is very important part of being an artist. Being able to take just a bit of information and develop the project to the point that it is beyond expectations is the most rewarding part of being an artist.
Having the opportunity to see many places across America has given me the ability to imagine what is possible. People have come to me not knowing where to start their project. Being able to draw on my life's experiences helps me bring ideas to the client to help solve or create their artwork.
Below is a sample of the process that is required to create a unique and special presentation piece.
Beavertail Lighthouse Charity License Plate Project
The client will send me a sketch or rough plan for the art project and I will come up with various layouts for the completion of the project.
The Beavertail Lighthouse asked if I would prepare a watercolor painting of Beavertail Lighthouse for a Charity License Plate.
I researched the design and worked with Beavertail Lighthouse Museum. Together we came up with a design for the license plate. Once the design was finalized the artwork was provided to the DMV for the approval process.
BLMA Beavertail Lighthouse Museum Association
The Charity Plate project was completed and the plates were released at Beavertail Lighthouse. Motorist picked up their plates and stopped by for a photo and a print of the original artwork.
